One of the best vacations I had with mom was our last one. We made a trip to Corpus Christi Texas. On our way down we stopped and at The Rain Forest Cafe. This was her first time eating there and she loved the atmosphere of the place. From there we went on to Port Aransas. We always had our favorite place to eat called The Crazy Cajun. Anytime where went to the coast we had to stop and eat there. The first night of vacation we stayed in Port Aransas but then we decided to move over to Corpus Christi. The first day we where there we spent the day at the beach and just relaxing. Then the next day we went to the Aquarium. The first thing we found was the Dolphins. The aquarium had an area where you could go to the back side of the area and actually look into the tank and see the dolphins playing. As much as mom loved watching the dolphins, she loved them even more when she started playing with them. She would run as fast as she could on her scooter just to see if the dolphins would still play with her and chase her side to side. I can remember her laughing so hard she almost fell out of her chair. She played with the dolphins so much I had to push her around for half the day since her battery was dead.

we too graduated in 1968 with vicki and we too are sadden by her passing. may god comfort u in your hours of need. his devine power heals all broken hearts.

It is with sadness I read this obituary. I knew Vicki at W W Samuell and was hoping she would be at the upcoming reunion. Although we've not been in touch all these years, it sounds like she had a life fulfilled. My prayers are with her family that God help fills the void left behind.

Mom was an amazing person! She was so bright and full of life...even as she went into surgery...we knew she was scared but was still cracking jokes. Many of my memories are inappropriate to share as we were...how shall I say this...less than angelic most of the time when we were together! :) The luggage on Harry Hines is my favorite memory of all! Mom, you are truly missed every minute of every day. Seems like just yesterday we were coming to Nebraska...bringing you home to Cheppell with us. That was another great memory...our roadtrip :) At least this time we didn't get lost :) We love you so very much Vicki! We all do! You left a wonderful legacy in your sons and those who never took the time to know the real you missed out on a wonderful woman! I am forever grateful that you were my mom and that you gave me your greatest treasure...your son, my husband, Matt. You raised wonderful boys all on your own and that in itself shows your unending strength! Rest peacefully now Mom! And soar with wings of might! Love Hillery

I worked with Vicki at Fireman's Fund. One of my fondest memories is when we had a WII bowling competition. Vicki was nervous about planning due to being in a wheel chair. After a little proding, she was a fierce competitor. My prayers are with her boys that she cherished so much. God Bless!
